because relating exposes us to the most mercurial, unpredictable, and imposing forces we have to face in life.
Everyone thinks independently. Each person’s thoughts are privy only to that person until he/she reveals them.
No one’s actions can be predicted on past behaviour or promised affection. Our actions, no matter how constrained, reveal what we are thinking then. And that can change momently.
What is more is that each person’s thoughts are governed by personal feelings, past experiences, and present perceptions.
Each of these can be as unique as each person is. Imagine that the same event can be observed from so many different perspectives that several people observing at the same time will be influenced by a significantly different aspect.
And since past experiences are built on similarly different perceptions, those are also unique and different from others’. Put them together with present feelings that are generated uniquely in each person and we have the makings of new and rapidly changing situations in every encounter – even with the same person.
Don’t worry. This does not make it impossible. It only defines the challenge.
What we will do here then is to equip you with the ability to examine change, understand how to look for it, see the invisible factors that influence it, and know how to not be weakened by it. You will learn how to immunize yourself to the threats of its unknown impact.
This is not difficult. It just requires some effort and interest. Just remember that this is needed, not just to fix a problem, but to be able to go through the rest of life where you will meet different people or the same people differently.
When you examine the E-Mentoring program here, I will show you how I will do it. The full set of discussions, however, will only be available when you sign in to the program. It is an immense work. You can read the book and get the full guidance, but in addition, the video discussions and the ability discuss a point with the author are powerful additives.
